Goran Strbac is a Professor of Energy Systems, with extensive experience in advanced modelling and analysis of operation, planning, security and economics of multi-energy systems. He led the development of novel advanced analysis approaches and methodologies that have been extensively used to inform industry, governments and regulatory bodies about the role and value of emerging new technologies and systems in supporting cost effective evolution to smart low carbon energy future. He is currently Director of the joint Imperial-Tsinghua Research Centre on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems, Member of OFGEM Climate Resilience Expert Panel, Member of the UK Smart System Forum, Member of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for the Energy Transition, and Member of the Joint EU Programme in Energy Systems Integration of the European Energy Research Alliance. He co-authored 4 books and published over 500 technical papers.

M.F. Montemor is Full Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico, Department of Chemical Engineering. Her scientific activity focusses on new functional coatings for surface protection and forenergy storage. She is co-author of 20 book chapters and above 350 scientific papers. Her h index is 76.She has been awarded with the EFC medal and has received a Doctor Honoris Causa Degree by University of Mons. Leading a scientific team of approximately 20 researchers, including PhD students, pos-docs and young researchers, she fosters a creative research environment conducive to cutting-edge research and innovation that addresses synergies between materials engineering research and industry needs.She is co-founder of the company “Charge2C-NewCap” that fabricates supercapacitors.

Dr. Weidong Zhu is currently working as a professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA. He has completed his Dual B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Computational Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 1986 and completed his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University, 1988 and completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, at University of California at Berkeley, 1994. He has received many awards like the CAREER Award, National Science Foundation in the year of 2004, and Bayer Teaching Excellence Award, International Symposium on Multi-/Inter-Disciplinary Engineering in the year of 2006. His research spans the fields of dynamics, vibration, control, applied mechanics, structural health monitoring, and wind energy, and integrates analytical development, numerical simulation, experimental validation, and industrial application. Much of the current research can be divided into three areas: 1) vibration and stability of distributed structural systems; 2) finite element modeling, modal testing, model updating, and structural damage detection; and 3) infinitely variable transmission and wind energy. Willi Semmler is the Arnhold Professor of International Cooperation and Development Emeritus at the New School for Social Research, New York. He was a Postdoc at Columbia University, a professor at American University, Washington, D.C., and Bielefeld University, Germany, and a Fulbright Professor at the University of Vienna. He is an honorary doctor of the American University Europe-Fon and was an evaluator of research projects for the EU Commission and a visiting scholar at the ECB and the IMF while working for the IEO at the IMF. He is also a member of the Center on Capitalism and Society, Columbia University, directed by Edmund Phelps (Nobel Laureate in Economics), a research associate at La Sapienza, Rome, a senior research associate at the IIASA, Vienna, and an associate editor of the journal Econometrics and Statistics. His research is on empirical macroeconomics, financial economics, and the economics of climate change. He has numerous journal and book publications, and his research has appeared in publications of the World Bank, the IMF, the ECB, and ILO.

Prof. Dr. Foo Keng Yuen is the UNESCO Co-Chair on Eco-hydraulics for Sustainable Water Infrastructures for SDG 6 in the Asia and the Pacific Region. His research interests are environmental engineering, waste utilization, water treatment technology, catalysis, food security and toxicology, and environmental health. He has involved in different kinds of university, national and international research grants, amounting to approximately RM 10 million. His aptitude for high quality research of international standing has been supported by the consultancy projects of exceeding RM 3 million, more than 100 international publications, with a total citation of exceeding 20,000, and an author h-index of 53. Foo’s scholastic achievements and thought leadership are recognised locally and internationally. He is honoured to be the Top 2% Scientists in their Respective Fields and Top 2% Highly Cited Scientists in the world by the Stanford University, California consequentially for 5 years. Foo has been nominated to be the honoree of the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) 2022, Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) 2019, National Young Scientist Award 2017, International Young Inventor Award, Marquis Who's Who in the World, Top 100 Engineers, and Honorary Doctorate of Letters by International Biographical Centre Cambridge, England, and special award or medal winners in International Inventions, Competitions and Exhibitions. Jinsong Wu received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, in 2006. He is proposer (2021) the Founder (2022) and Founding Editor-in-Chief (2022-present) for the new international journal, Green Technologies and Sustainability (GTS), KeAi. He received 2020 IEEE Green Communications and Computing Technical Committee (TCGCC) Distinguished Technical Achievement Recognition Award, for his outstanding technical leadership and achievement in green wireless communications and networking. He was the leading editor and a coauthor of the comprehensive book, entitled Green Communications: Theoretical Fundamentals, Algorithms, and Applications (CRC Press, September 2012). He received the 2017, 2019, and 2021 IEEE System Journal Best Paper Awards.
